Happy New Year Friends! 2012 was a big traveling year of exhibiting at art fairs from LA to Miami. As always, the project concept was received with delight. Collectors acquired 34 of the original small-scale sculptures in the last year alone! The excitement and drive to install the full-size pieces in the Hudson is alive and well as we continue to seek additional ways to fund it. We are excited to see what we can stir up in 2013. May it be inspiring and productive for us all!

Struck with inspiration during a fiery sunset over the Hudson, Joan Benefiel created these dynamic, glowing sculptures to remember it by. Hand-tinted the colors of the sky that night, the sculptures will be mounted on the tops of the old Pier 42 wooden pilings in the Hudson River, with permission from the Hudson River Park Trust.
Each vibrant sculpture will respond to the light of each new day, resonate with the sunrises and sunsets, and cast colorful reflections across the water.
